HOUSING: Housing is constructed of die cast aluminum 380 alloy.  Two equally spaced mounting lugs are integrally cast into the top and bottom, permitting the door to hinge from either direction.  All interior mounting locations are symmetrically positioned, allowing the rotation of components for clamshell mounting. Each housing has a 72 tooth serrated boss at each end for use with standard signal hardware.  Each boss has reinforcing ribs distributing the load bearing stress evenly to the entire housing.  Housing is machined and powder coated as described in the painting specification.

ALUMINUM DOOR: Door is constructed of die cast aluminum 380 alloy.  The door is mounted to the housing by means of stainless steel spring pins and secured with stainless steel eyebolt/washer/wing-nut assemblies.  The door and eyebolt assemblies can be easily removed and rotated without the use of any special tools.  This function enhances the mounting hardware and eliminates the need for left or right mountings.  The door is machined and powder coated as described in the painting specification.

LED RETENTION CLIPS: A unique component of the NAI signal, each signal includes two retention clips to hold the lens in place.  These retention clips also hold LED modules securely in place prior to the door complete closure.

LED MODULE INSERTS:  International symbols, word legend and countdown modules are available including: hand, man and countdown.

TERMINAL BLOCK: Typical industry terminal blocks options are available with either spade lug or quick connect terminations.

VISORS:  Visors are one-piece formed aluminum and secured with 4 stainless steel screws.

LED LENSES:  LED sizes and colors conform to the ITE standards per the manufacturer’s specifications.  Lenses are fitted with a one-piece EPDM or neoprene gasket. Choose from: GE Gelcore, Dialight, Leotek, and Precision LED products.  Special arrangements can be reviewed.

INCANDESCENT LENSES:  Lens symbols, colors and layout are available conforming to the ITE standards.

REFLECTOR FOR INCANDESCENT:  The ALZAK aluminum reflector with gasket material on flange excludes dirt and dust from the inner surface to both reflector and lens.  Gasketing prevents light bleeding between illuminated sections.

HARDWARE:  Choose either high quality Pelco or Cost Cast Inc. associated hardware.

PAINTING/POWDER COATING:  High quality thermal baked coating materials are used in a complete coating process.  Entire interior is coated in addition to the industry typical exterior.  Unique to NAI, this complete surface coating makes it resistant to corrosion, adding to overall product robustness and aesthetic appeal. 

CUSTOMER SPECIFIED COLOR: Federal Yellow, Black, Dark Green, Louisiana Green, Gray or Custom colors are available.

ANTI-THEFT:  The housing and door provide tabs for locking devices to ensure message or module is not tampered with or stolen.

COMPATIBILITY:  NAI aluminum one-piece pedestrian signal is interchangeable with existing pedestrian signals of similar design/build and compatible with existing pedestrian hardware.  Our pedestrian signal meets and/or exceeds ITE standards, is designed for physical integrity and provides low maintenance.
